This is a very smart bookcase cabinet. It was made by a company called Jaycee who specialise in oak furniture. It is wonderful quality. The bookcase cabinet is in the Jacobean style with recessed panels to the sides and bracket feet. The quality of the carving to the front with its sun motif is very good. The bookcase has leaded astragal doors with beaten metal hinges and escutcheon. The bookcase has its original key and inside the shelves are adjustable.The bookcase is in good condition. No damage to the glass. No damage or worm to the oak. The wood is well polished. It is a good rich Jacobean colour The bookcase cabinet will look wonderful when filled with books or objet d'art. It will look good in a principal room furnished in vintage or antiques. It will look equally good in a home library or home office. If you require a courier to deliver, do not despair as it is a lot easier to arrange than you would imagine and probably a lot cheaper as well.
